Frequently asked questions

What is a transition payment?
The transition payment is a statutory severance payment. The amount is 1/3 monthly salary per year worked. You are entitled to this upon dismissal via UWV, sub-district court, or when signing a settlement agreement. Our lawyers calculate whether you receive the correct payment.
Can my employer just dismiss me?
No, your employer needs a valid reason and must follow the correct procedure. There are prohibitions on dismissal during illness, pregnancy, and works council membership. If you are dismissed anyway, contact us immediately.
Should I sign a settlement agreement?
Never sign a settlement agreement without legal advice. You have 14 days to withdraw. Let us first check whether the compensation, end date, and conditions are correct. This check is free.
