UAV
UAV stands for Uniform Administrative Conditions and refers to the standard terms applicable to public procurement contracts for works in the construction and infrastructure sector.
The Uniform Administrative Conditions (UAV) constitute a set of general terms and conditions governing the administrative and legal aspects of the execution of construction works and civil engineering projects. They contain provisions relating, inter alia, to payment, variations, completion and liability.
The UAV are of particular relevance in public procurement by governmental authorities, as they promote uniformity and legal certainty in contracts between the principal and the contractor. In practice, they are frequently incorporated in their entirety in the tender documents.
