WHK contribution

An employer contribution financing WGA and Sickness Benefits Act payments, based on company size and claims history.

The WHK contribution (Return to Work Fund) is an employer contribution financing the costs of WGA and Sickness Benefits Act payments to (former) employees. The amount depends on the number of employees and, for larger companies, on the employer's own claims history — the more absenteeism, the higher the contribution.

“Due to high sickness absence last year, the company's WHK contribution rose sharply.”
